Cake pictures!

I would like to try update my blog on a regular basis, mainly to look back on it but also to make it grow and make my hobby for decorating grow. Perhaps I will also post about other interests too such as cookie decorating (which I am dying to try now), painting, drawing, scrapbooking, and makeup!! I have so many things I think about and want to do!!! It is difficult to find time to feed all my desires lol but I am SOOO happy to have these desires. I feel so much more alive lately and there is absoltely no question as to why!!! Anyone know? Of course.... my boy, my sweet precious baby boy, Rylan. He is my world and has changed my world!! I didn't do much before except work and sleep a lot! I would say I was just numb with living. Nothing much exciting ever happened and I was really disappointed with myself for so many things; I still am to some extent but I know now that things don't have to be that way. Rylan has shown me what life can really be like. It should be constantly full of desire! Spending time with him and being happy indulging in interest when he is asleep! Sooo much fun and I LOVE being awake now. Before I didn't care about much. I went to work because I had to and the only thing I really liked to do was sleep. Now I just hate that there aren't enough hours in a day to satisfy me with the things I think about accomplishing! I even find enjoyment in cleaning and cooking dinner! So awesome, I hope it stays this way. Anyways, enough rambling about that. Here are pictures (all that I can find so far) of pictures I have done since I have started decorating.

Welcome Spring!

I like how the little flowers turned out but this was a rather simple cake. I was just in the mood to decorate and decided to take in a cake for my fellow Hallmark workers. I must admit that I didn't put in as much effort as I could have but it was 2 in the morning when I did this one haha.

I should've smoothed out the sides more and I have no idea what happened with the writting. "Welcome" looked okay, but I guess I got a little too excited when writting out "Spring". I need to practice on that! But everyone said it tasted good... Hopefully they didn't just say that to make me feel better.

First Basketweave Cake!

This was my finale cake for Wilton course 2! The flowers are all made from royal icing; I love them so much because you can make so many and whip up a cake in no time since they dry hard and can be kept for a very long time!!
The white icing is just buttercream.. and the cake has a rope border on the top and bottom. I love that border so much. So elegant but rather simple to create.
